Anatomy 3D
The 3D models are based on the Z-Anatomy (CC BY-SA 4.0), atlas, built on BodyParts3D © The Database Center for Life Science (CC BY-SA 2.1 JP). MedMigrant converted, simplified and combined the meshes and added the pins, descriptions, muscle cut-outs and attachment areas. The modified models are shared under the same license (CC BY-SA 4.0) — download them below. The nerves, arteries and veins are Z-Anatomy atlas curves turned into tubes and fitted to the bones of each model; the heart uses the atlas meshes of the chambers. Their course is illustrative.

Male pelvis and soft tissue: Z-Anatomy (CC BY-SA 4.0), based on BodyParts3D. Female pelvis: Bone Mesh Female Toolkit (M. Sreenivasa, D. Gonzalez Alvarado, Heidelberg University; zlib licence) — meshes from the CT scan of the Visible Human Project female (U.S. National Library of Medicine). Modified by MedMigrant: smoothed, placed in the anterior pelvic plane, coccyx separated from the sacrum, the atlas soft tissue fitted to the bones. CT, MRI and anatomical sections
The images in the “CT / MRI” tab come from the Visible Human Project® (U.S. National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health). The data are in the public domain and distributed without a license; NLM asks that the source be acknowledged. MedMigrant cropped the individual body regions (head, chest, pelvis, arm, forearm with elbow, hands, feet), registered the CT to the anatomical sections, resampled the slices into three planes and saved them as WebP.
