LEW bibliography and guidelines

The LEW is taken by doctors with a medical degree from outside the European Union. Its scope is set by a regulation of the Minister of Health: six clinical subjects. CEM does not publish a separate book list for the LEW, so for these subjects we use the list recommended for the LEK.

Guidelines we check explanations against

Check status

Check planned

Checking the explanations against these sources is planned. The list shows what we will be using.

How an explanation is made

  1. 1

The question and the official key

We start with the question and the answer key published by CEM.

  2. 2

    Checking the sources

We check the answer against the guidelines, regulations and reading named for the exam.

  3. 3

    Explained in our own words

We write a short explanation of why this answer is right and the others are not. No copying of anyone else’s text.

  4. 4

    Source at the end

Each explanation ends with its source, so you can check it yourself.

When newer guidelines differ from the official CEM key, we keep the key and add the current recommendation to the explanation, dated to the year.

Report it on the question or write to us. We check every report against the sources and fix the explanation.
